Understanding Parent Engagement and Implementing the Framework
Course Number: FEC100
Credits: 3
This
course will apply the broader definition
of parent engagement to program's staff
daily interactions with parents.
The course will define the goals of the
PFCE vision for parents, family and
community engagement and be able to
identify current program practices that
support these goals. Participants
will learn how to engage with children
and families using practices and
behaviors that promote belonging and
invite participation and practice
adapting parent engagement activities to
make them more inviting and accessible
for individual parents.
