In order to
earn the CDC Certificate, students must
complete the required courses, a
portfolio and a formal observation to be
submitted to the
Council for Professional Recognition
for review.
The
final stage of the CDC program is
ensuring CDA credential competencies
have been demonstrated through hands on
assignments, enabling each student to
build the required portfolio as progress
is made toward the CDA award. The CDA Professional Resource file consists of 17 resource items that
relate to the student's work. The
Resource Collection includes written
competency statements and the
candidate's autobiography. Through
this process the student receive
assistance through a variety of
experiences to help them develop and
revise their portfolio of resources.
All assignments given throughout the
four courses are complied to create the
final Professional Resource file
required for the CDA credential.
