Before you apply, visit our
programs page to prepare
yourself for the program
requirements. The admission
process provides the University
with an opportunity to assess
your prior academic and work
information to look beyond the
classroom.
Program enrollment is begins
every 6 weeks. Students may
register for
course
trainings at anytime.
Any student that have not
completed the enrollment
application and eligibility
application by deadline will be
moved to the next session
enrollment. Award assessment
meeting will scheduled into the
next session.

PREPARE TO APPLY
To prepare, you will need to
download the
Candidate Application
Form
and the
Candidate Eligibility
Form.
Students that want to enroll in an
internship program in order to meet
eligibility requirements must contact
their student advisor in order to be
placed at a
Early Head Start,
Migrant or
Seasonal, American Native/Alaska Native
or Early Childhood, Family Childcare or
Daycare workplace
location.
HS University courses cannot
accept payments from our students. For this reason HS
University does not allow non-employed Early
Head Start,
Migrant or
Seasonal, American Native/Alaska Native
or Early Childhood, Family Childcare or
Daycare students for admission.
CONTACT A STUDENT
ADVISOR
All new credential and certificate students will be assigned
a student advisor. Once your
application is processed, you will
receive a welcome letter with your
student advisor contact information.
Your student advisor will be your direct
contact about course registration, exam
dates, travel information if applicable,
your academic calendar, your team
assessment, payment processing methods
and other student information. Student
advisors will help you toward a smooth
academic completion.
REGISTER FOR
CLASS
Class registration is typically
performed in 4 ways. Class registration is typically
handled through student services at HS
University. You can register
online, call our toll free number or fax
your registration to student services.

PAYMENT OF FEES
All fees must be paid by company
check, company credit card and/or a
payment agreement
must be in place within 7 business days
of attending a course. HS University has
the following payment agreement for
enrolled students.
PAYMENT METHODS
All students enrolled in a program, must have
a funding method established in order to
began taking courses. HS
University does not accept payment for
any or all parts of a program from an
enrolled student. A student can
use the following payment method for
fees to pay for a
credential and license.
Program
Funds
All new and returning students are
encouraged to work with their agency or
childcare program about using professional
development funds as payment for a
program. The amount and number of
classes you may enroll in will depend on
your employer. Each student is
encouraged to contact their
manager and or supervisor to discuss their
professional development needs.
NOTE: HS University does not
allow students to pay for cost related
to
any program. All enrollments must
be paid using company check, company
credit cards or company purchase order.
Financial Assistance
Currently HS University does not
offer financial aid.
Direct Bill
When your Company/Agency
becomes a Direct Bill Partner with HS
University, the tuition payment process
becomes customized and simple for you
and your employer. Your employer will
receive a detailed bill for all of your
classes, even if they’re at multiple
locations. We offer flexible billing
options customized to your company’s
needs. And, when your program becomes a
Direct Bill partner, all employees will
have direct access to tuition assistance
programs, which can help with recruiting
and retaining good employees.

Tuition
Deferral Plan
Many of our students benefit from their
employers’ tuition reimbursement plan to
fund part or all of their education. The
U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
offers similar benefits to active duty,
reserve service members and their
dependents. Find out how you can choose
the
Tuition Deferral Plan
to help you pay for your HS University
education by contacting a University
representative. Students must still be
an employee of a Head Start program
and any or all payments may not be
at student's expense.
Tribal Funding
Several American Indian tribal nations
provide funding for the tuition of a
student who is a recognized member. For
additional information on tribal
funding, please contact our Tribal
Relations Department at
Tribalrelations@hsuniversity.org.
Government Billing Plan
As a government employee, HS University
may directly bill your organization for
your educational costs.
Third-Party Billing Plan
If your employer will fund your educational costs, HS University may directly bill approved employers as part of the Third-Party Billing Plan. Contact a finance advisor to determine if your employer is approved for direct billing.
