The College of Family Engagement (CFE) at HS University is designed to
give you strategies
for strengthening
the capacity of HS/EHS and other early childhood programs to
implement and use strengths-based and culturally-informed
practices. Participants learn to develop family engagement
methodologies that are systemically integrated across Head Start
and communities which can be sustained over time. Head Start family
service workers who
want Head Start recognition for their professional achievement and who
want to unlock new Head Start career paths come to HS University. HS University's programs focus only on serving Head Start, Early Head
Start, Migrant Head Start and Tribal Head Start
families. Our program is designed to ensure
family workers are meeting Head Start standards by
empowering parents through partnership agreements
and goal setting processes, the requirements of
the Head Start Act and the Office of Head Start. HS
University is
an approved National Association of Social Workers
Continuing Education provider.
Our courses provides a action plan for Head Start family service workers to implement and manage those requirements. As a Head Start professional, you must ensure you have these specialized skills. A credential from HS University gives Head Start family service workers around the US confidence in knowing that they have the skill set and regulatory knowledge needed to reach excellence in family support.
