The University has
established a curriculum program that advances
the educational knowledge of Head Start
Professionals. Students who enroll in our
academic programs are those seeking progression
beyond the educational degree. A credential or
license with the University denotes professional
commitment and achievement and represents a
"plus" feature of knowledge and experience that
meets or exceeds excellence in Head Start
professionals at the national level.
All academic program
requirements must be met in
order for a student to be
considered graduated. To meet
the requirements for a program,
a candidate must complete all
credit hours for their chosen
content area.
A candidate must

Administrative Credential
- requires:
(15) units of
training,
Completion
of the (1) exam
Supervisor
Credential
- requires:
(30) units of
training,
120 clock hours of field
work
5 week online management &
training course
Completion
of the (2) exam
Management
License
requires:
Complete (45)
credit hours of classroom
instruction
Complete 120
clock hours of supervised
fieldwork
Complete a
PLA (Prior Learning
Assessment) portfolio of
knowledge development
Successful
completion of the (3) exam
Complete a
practicum
Receive a comprehensive
review of knowledge and
practice.
