Welcome to HS University Online

Our online campus is designed to benefit working Early Childhood professionals in a number of ways. Classes are offered one at a time, in a sequence. There are no formal semesters, so students can begin a course of study any month of the year. A student can concentrate on one echelon at a time, and when a echelon is obtained you can move on to the next level or move forward toward a degree program. Each online class lasts five to six weeks. A student can sign on any hour of the day or night, taking part at times that best fit his or her schedule. While this flexibility is unprecedented, it requires greater than average discipline and does not allow a student to "coast." Students devote an average of fifteen to twenty hours a week to their studies. The Program Performance Standards which defines the compliance review of a Head Start program is the foundation of our curriculum approach.  To accomplish excellence in services, our curriculum is designed around an attainment level of knowledge and skills advancement.  As a candidate, you can acquire a credential or license that matches your current position or a promotion advancement.  As a student, you can advance and acquire new competency based skills for performance excellence.   The University is perennially ranked among the top-tier universities for Early Childhood professionals. School management and leadership permeates our curriculum program. This includes working in teams on real world child development challenges. There are also a multitude of curriculum experiences available through the University's many associations and conference activities.
