announced that Policy Clarification site is now
categorized as new regulations or Informal
guidance.

Although the FY 2008
Head Start appropriations are reduced in comparison
to the FY 2007 appropriations, no grantee will
receive a funding reduction because of that
shortfall.

9, 2008 -National
Reporting Systems Terminated - With the recent
enactment into law of the "Improving Head Start for
School Readiness Act for 2007," the Head Start
National Reporting System is terminated. Head Start
programs are no longer required to administer the NRS.

7, 2008 - Head Start Reauthorization -
President Bush signed into law the reauthorization of
the Head Start program. It contains significant
revisions to the previous Head Start Act. Learn

9, 2007 - 2007
Family Income Guidelines... Children are eligible to
participate in Head Start if they are from low-income
families or if their families are eligible for public
assistance. The 2007 Family Income Guidelines (attached)
must be used to determine eligibility for Head Start for
families who are eligible because they have low-incomes.
