Course Prerequisites:  Experience with Windows operating systems. Preferred knowledge: experience with database applications such as Microsoft Access. Crystal Report Basic

 

Course Description: This course is designed for users with a basic knowledge of Crystal Reports. You'll learn to use advanced formulas, formatting and cross-tabs and to create and modify dictionary files. Topics include conditional formatting, sub-reports, parameter fields and Crystal SQL Designer. Twelve classroom hours.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Crystal Reports course, Crystal Report & HSFIS - Basic or equivalent knowledge.

  1. Apply conditional formatting and assign conditional attribute formatting
  2. Use the Highlighting Expert
  3. Create formulas using multiple variables
  4. Insert and delete sections
  5. Work with multiple sections and conditional formats
  6. Define and create parameter fields
  7. Use edit masks
  8. Insert multiple rows, columns and summarized fields
  9. Use parameter fields with cross-tab reports and formula fields in cross-tab layouts
  10. Insert unlinked and linked sub-reports
  11. Use Crystal Query Designer
  12. Define and use dictionaries
  13. Create and modify dictionaries
  14. Use the Chart Expert
