Description:
This five day course is
designed for new and experience administrative,
management and program governance staff.
Participants learn skills to help them determine
community strength and needs, use the community
assessments to justify their program design options
and develop methods of implementing ERSEA
requirements at their program. Students will learn
the items required in the community assessment in
accordance with the Head Start Performance
Standards. They will learn about information on
sources of data to collect and the data collection
procedures for the community assessment. Actual data
and sample community assessments will be used to
help staff understand how to interpret program data
and draw conclusions. This training will focus on
proven ERSEA implementation strategies and related
support activities to help participants improve
their methods in implementing ERSEA compliance,
particularly how to achieve and maintain full funded
enrollment. This course is designed to help
participants develop procedures and processes for
implementing ERSEA at their program. Each area of
requirement will be examined in detail to help
students determine strategies for implementation. Prerequisites:
None
Learning Objectives: Upon
completion of this course, you will:
· Use
the planning process to manage ERSEA process
· Evaluate
communication, record-keeping and recording system
to determine ERSEA effectiveness
· Design
forms to track and record ERSEA processes
· Use
tools to evaluate and report enrollment and
attendance to local, state, and federal grantors
